Robert Wagner, 89, and wife Jill St. John, 78, were spotted together in Beverly Hills, California enjoying a romantic dinner together at the Andy-Warhol adorned, Chinese restaurant Mr. Chow. The couple has been married for 29 years, and Robert Wagner took a bit to time to speak to photographers and the Michigan native shared his excitement that the Michigan State Spartans made it to the NCAA Final Four.
The spotting comes as Natalie Wood’s daughter, Natasha Gregson Wagner, continues to defend her stepfather “Daddy Wagner” against rumors he had something to do with Natalie Wood’s death. The rumors have haunted and followed Robert Wagner since the tragic day that Natalie Wood drowned on November 29, 1981.
Due to conflicting witness statements and a driven pursuit by some of Natalie Wood’s family members who believer foul play was involved, many in the public do not believe Natalie Wood’s death was purely an accident.
Natasha Gregson Wagner, Natalie Wood’s daughter with British producer Richard Gregson, doesn’t doubt Robert Wagner’s innocence. She does not believe the man who raised her with her two sisters following Natalie’s death, Katie Wagner and Courtney Wagner had anything malicious to do with Natalie Wood’s drowning.

The pair are also seen in the Seinfeld episode “The Yada Yada.”
One of Robert Wagner’s greatest advocates remains Natasha Gregson Wagner. Robert Wagner and Jill St. John raised her following her mother’s death.
Speaking about living with her stepfather and not her birth father after Natalie Wood’s death, Natasha stated the following to the New York Times.
“There were no lawyers. My dads just sat down and my Daddy Gregson said, ‘I feel like Natasha should come live with me because she’s my daughter,’ and my Daddy Wagner said, ‘I know, that would make sense, but she’s grown up with me,’ and then they said, ‘What’s the best thing for Natasha?’” She added: “And they were right. The best thing for me was to live with my stepdad and see my Daddy Gregson over the summer.”
